3 doodle sheets for children to talk about, identify a range of special days and celebrations and colour in.
Children can then design their own doodle sheets or posters.
A resource to encourage children to think about festivals and celebrations and talk about them. The cards could be cut out and added to a child’s communication board.
Sheet 1 shows 16 festivals and celebrations with words along the side and added above the pictures. Children could colour in the pictures.
Sheet 2 shows the same resource but without pictures. Children can draw in their own pictures or write the words.
Sheet 3 has no words or pictures and is a useful template. This could be used for anything from animals they know to people that help us.

A fun scavenger hunt for young children and / or SEND pupils using symbols.
There is a black and white and colour version of the scavenger recording sheet. Children can tick off the things they find. There are 10 things to find.
There is a page of simple riddles that go with each picture and provide clues. You can choose to use these or not depending on your children and their abilities.
Use real objects if available for your scavenger hunt, or soft toys e.g squirrel and snowman.
Alternatively, or as well as, cut out the large flashcards, laminate and tie/tape these up around the outside area for children to find.
Finish with the hot chocolate and then you may want to reward your class with the real thing as a treat for finding everything on the scavenger list.
There are 2 letters per A4 page when put together spell Happy Halloween.

My trip to the Toy Shop with Symbols
One of a set of resources based on trips suitable for EYFS / KS1 and SEND pupils.
Each resource includes 12 colour and 12 black and white flashcards with symbols.
Sheet 3 asks the children to draw the symbols or paste the pictures under the words.
Sheet 4 is a writing and drawing template. Children can write about their trip.
